Don't look at me like that, Bobby Ryan! I'm sorry I've neglected you!

Due to illness, I’ve been seriously slacking on Team USA news. I apologize profusely.

Let’s make up for this with capsule recaps of the past three games!

Team USA vs. Team Kazakhstan
Team USA wins in OT 3-2.

The last time these two teams met was in 2010, during the relegation round, when the USA shut out the Kazakhs 10-0.

This year? Kazakhstan took the USA to overtime before Justin Faulk ended their improbable underdog effort with 22 seconds remaining.

Team USA vs. Team Finland
Team USA wins 5-0

So, after letting Kazahkstan take them to overtime, they shut out the reigning champions.

Oh, okay — because that makes a lot of sense.

This game was the fifth victory for Team USA in six games and secured them a berth in the quarterfinals.

Team USA vs. Team Switzerland
Team USA wins 5-2

Paul Stastny had one goal and two assists, but Bobby Ryan was named the team’s Player of the Game. His goal helped tie the game and jump-started a lackadaisical Team USA in the second period. Max Pacioretty has the most points by any Team USA player in Worlds since 1975. (He added two assists in this game.)
